Todd had been surfing and skateboarding already and got into stand-up paddling through a work friend who suggested that it could help him with is back problems. He has now been paddling for three years and doing the circuit of events such at the Battle of the Paddle and Hennessey Race. Todd met Pau Hana founder Todd Caranto at a race in Utah. “We had a lot in common. It just felt comfortable. It wasn’t hype. These guys are more family oriented and welcoming,” says Todd Drake about joining the Pau Hana team.
