At Pau Hana Surf Supply, quality and sustainability is integral to our mission. We design our paddleboards for durability, ensuring they withstand the test of time and reduce environmental impact.
-
After your session, give the board a quick rinse with fresh water and let it dry before storing - especially if you’ve been in saltwater.
Store your board in a cool, shaded place, out of direct sunlight. If possible, keep it flat or on its side using proper board racks.
A little care goes a long way - treat it well and your board will stay solid, smooth, and ready for the next paddle.
-
Made with an ultra-light woven drop-stitch construction - a lightweight, high-strength inflatable build that packs small and inflates rigid. Thousands of internal fibers create a stable, durable structure that holds its shape and delivers consistent performance without added bulk.
Performance Metrics
The Solo SUP™ Backcountry feels steady and predictable the moment you step on, but what really sets it apart is how little effort it takes to get there.
This board was designed for paddlers who don’t launch from parking lots. It hikes, packs, and travels easily - then paddles like a full-size board once it’s on the water. From quiet alpine lakes to slow-moving rivers, the Solo SUP stays composed and efficient so the journey in never feels harder than the paddle itself.
Smooth, stable, and relaxed. The Solo SUP cruises comfortably on flatwater and feels confidence-inspiring for casual paddles, exploration, and everyday sessions.
Handles gentle current and slow-moving rivers with ease. The stable platform stays predictable in light flow, making it well suited for mellow downstream paddles and backcountry waterways.
Comfortable in light wind texture and surface chop. It’s best suited for protected coastal areas rather than open ocean or surf conditions.
Tracks straight enough for relaxed paddling and touring-style routes, while remaining easy to turn and adjust when navigating around obstacles or shoreline features.

Solo SUP™ Highlights
The Solo SUP™ is built with Pau Hana’s advanced woven drop stitch construction, engineered to deliver real rigidity without the bulk that usually comes with inflatable boards. Thousands of high-tensile fibers connect the top and bottom layers, creating a stable, efficient platform that feels composed and predictable once it’s inflated.
This isn’t about overbuilding. It’s about building just enough - strong where it counts, light where it matters.
The result is a board that’s easy to carry, quick to inflate, and solid underfoot when you’re standing miles from the nearest road.
- Lightweight feel for hiking, travel, and true solo carry
- Impressive rigidity and stability once fully inflated
- Efficient packability without sacrificing on-water performance
- Durable construction that holds its shape session after session
Designed by a Pioneer. Built for Real Adventure.
The Solo SUP™ was designed in California by paddlers who’ve been removing barriers to getting on the water since day one. The idea was simple: build a paddleboard that goes farther - even when the water isn’t close to the car.
That led to a board that packs small, carries easily, and still feels solid once inflated. Everything fits into a single backpack, turning hikes, travel, and portages into part of the adventure, not a hassle.
Built with longevity and responsible materials in mind, the Solo SUP™ is paddleboarding made simpler - without cutting corners.
