At Pau Hana Surf Supply, quality and sustainability is integral to our mission. We design our paddleboards for durability, ensuring they withstand the test of time and reduce environmental impact.
After your session, give the board a quick rinse with fresh water and let it dry before storing - especially if you’ve been in saltwater.
Store your board in a cool, shaded place, out of direct sunlight. If possible, keep it flat or on its side using proper board racks.
A little care goes a long way - treat it well and your board will stay solid, smooth, and ready for the next paddle.
Made with an ultra-light woven drop-stitch construction - a lightweight, high-strength inflatable build that packs small and inflates rigid. Thousands of internal fibers create a stable, durable structure that holds its shape and delivers consistent performance without added bulk.
Performance Metrics
The Solo SUP™ Backcountry feels steady and predictable the moment you step on, but what really sets it apart is how little effort it takes to get there.
This board was designed for paddlers who don’t launch from parking lots. It hikes, packs, and travels easily - then paddles like a full-size board once it’s on the water. From quiet alpine lakes to slow-moving rivers, the Solo SUP stays composed and efficient so the journey in never feels harder than the paddle itself.
Smooth, efficient glide with enough width to feel relaxed while cruising, exploring, or taking a break mid-lake.
Compact length and twin fin setup make it easy to maneuver through gentle current, eddies, and narrow access points.
Lightweight enough to hike, bike, or fly with. Deflates down to half the size of a standard inflatable SUP - no roof racks, no garage required.
A 30” wide platform and balanced volume keep the board predictable underfoot, even when loaded with gear or paddled by beginners.
Twin snap-in fins provide reliable tracking without sacrificing turning ability, making the board feel responsive in tight or technical water.
A real paddleboard, anywhere
The balanced 30” platform feels steady underfoot, giving you confidence to stand, move, and paddle comfortably - even when you’re miles from the nearest launch.
Pack it. Carry it. Go.
The entire setup rolls into a 40L drybag backpack, making it easy to hike, bike, or travel to water that traditional paddleboards will never reach.
Built light, built right
Ultra-light woven drop stitch construction delivers real rigidity without the bulk, so the board feels solid on the water and effortless on the trail.
The Solo SUP™ is built with Pau Hana’s advanced woven drop stitch construction, engineered to deliver real rigidity without the bulk that usually comes with inflatable boards. Thousands of high-tensile fibers connect the top and bottom layers, creating a stable, efficient platform that feels composed and predictable once it’s inflated.
This isn’t about overbuilding. It’s about building just enough - strong where it counts, light where it matters.
The result is a board that’s easy to carry, quick to inflate, and solid underfoot when you’re standing miles from the nearest road.
Designed by a Pioneer. Built for Real Adventure.
The Solo SUP™ was designed in California by paddlers who’ve been removing barriers to getting on the water since day one. The idea was simple: build a paddleboard that goes farther - even when the water isn’t close to the car.
That led to a board that packs small, carries easily, and still feels solid once inflated. Everything fits into a single backpack, turning hikes, travel, and portages into part of the adventure, not a hassle.
Built with longevity and responsible materials in mind, the Solo SUP™ is paddleboarding made simpler - without cutting corners.

Alpine Paddling
I recently took the Pau Hana Solo SUP™ on a hike to a hidden alpine lake. Weighing just 23 pounds, it was easy to carry in its drybag backpack. Once I reached the lake, setting up was quick, and the board felt stable and responsive on the water. The backpack also kept my gear dry during the trip. This adventure showed me how convenient and reliable the Solo SUP™ is for exploring remote spots.

Yes. The Solo SUP™ was designed to be approachable from the first session. Its 30” wide platform and balanced volume create a calm, predictable feel underfoot, even for first-time paddlers. If you can stand comfortably on land, you’ll feel at home on this board.
The Solo SUP™ is rated for riders up to 215 lbs, with enough volume to comfortably carry light gear like a drybag, jacket, or overnight essentials. It’s built for solo paddlers who want efficiency, not overload.
It does. Once inflated to 15 PSI, the advanced woven drop stitch construction gives the Solo SUP™ real rigidity and shape, so it doesn’t feel spongy or unstable. On the water, it tracks smoothly and feels composed - not like a compromise for portability.
Everything fits into a 40L drybag backpack, roughly half the size of a standard inflatable SUP package and around the same size as a standard sleeping bag rolled. That means no roof racks, no garage storage, and no oversized travel bags.
Using the included compact Nano Pump, most paddlers are on the water in just a few minutes. The smaller volume means less pumping and more paddling.
Yes — for calm rivers and gentle current. The compact shape and twin fin setup make it easy to maneuver and control, especially in narrow or technical access points. It’s not designed for whitewater, but it excels in backcountry rivers and slow-moving flows.
Absolutely. The Solo SUP™ was built with travel in mind. It fits easily in a car trunk, small apartment, or checked luggage, and the backpack carry system makes airports, hikes, and portages simple.
The Solo SUP™ package includes:
Everything you need to get on the water is included.
Despite its lightweight feel, the Solo SUP™ is built for real use. The woven drop stitch construction resists flex and fatigue, holds its shape over time, and is designed to handle repeated inflation, deflation, and travel.
The Solo SUP™ is built with a focus on material efficiency and longevity - using lighter construction to reduce excess material without sacrificing performance. The durable design means fewer replacements and longer product life, which matters when it comes to impact.
If the Solo SUP™ isn’t the right fit, Pau Hana offers straightforward returns and warranty support. We’d rather help you find the right board than sell you the wrong one.
